Your details, and what we do with them
This site gives away a book. To send it to you we ask for four things, we tell someone at the ministry so they can welcome you, and from time to time we write about new books and events. That is the whole of it โ but you are entitled to the detail, so here it is.

Who we are
This site is run by LoveWorld Publishing, publishers of Now That You Are Born Again by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. We decide what happens to the details you give us here, which in data protection law makes us the controller of them.
What we ask for, and why
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Downloading the book | Name, email, phone number, country, and which edition and language you chose | To send you the book, so someone from the ministry can welcome you, and to write occasionally about new books, events and offers |
| Asking for a download code | Email address only | To email you the code, and tell you about upcoming programmes |
| Listening to the audiobook | Name, email, phone number, country | To take you to the eLibrary where it plays, and to remember you next time |
| Asking for a language we don't have | Email address, and the language you asked for | To tell you when that translation exists |
We also record when you gave us these details and which wording you agreed to. That record exists to protect you: it means we can always say exactly what you consented to, rather than relying on anyone's memory.
What we will send you
Two different things, and you can stop either or both:
- โ A welcome. Someone from the ministry will get in touch, usually once, to say hello and answer anything you want to ask. This is the main reason we asked for your phone number.
- โ Occasional news. New books, upcoming events, and special offers on our publications. Not often, and never from anyone but us.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and say stop.
What we deliberately do not collect
- โ No tracking of any kind. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts. Nobody is watching you read this page.
- โ Your IP address is never stored. We keep a one-way scrambled version of it, used only to spot automated abuse. It cannot be turned back into your address.
- โ No account, no password. There is nothing to sign up for.
- โ We do not sell, rent or trade your details. Ever, to anyone.
Cookies
Three, all necessary, none for advertising:
- โ A session cookie, so the site remembers where you are in the form. It expires after two hours.
- โ A security cookie, which stops other websites submitting forms on your behalf.
- โ If you use the audiobook, one that remembers you so you are not asked for your details a second time. It lasts five years and you can clear it in your browser whenever you like.
Who else sees your details
- โ LoveWorld's own follow-up system. Your details go into the ministry's internal system so a person can call or email to welcome you. It belongs to LoveWorld Publishing; it is not an outside company.
- โ Brevo, who deliver our email. They handle sending only.
- โ The LoveWorld eLibrary, but only if you choose the audiobook. Your name, email, phone and country travel with you so you are not asked twice.
How long we keep them
For as long as the ministry is in touch with you. If you ask us to stop, we stop, and we keep only the minimum needed to make sure we do not contact you again by mistake. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.
What you can ask us to do
Whichever country you are in, you can ask us to:
- โ Show you everything we hold about you
- โ Correct anything that is wrong
- โ Delete it
- โ Stop contacting you, by email, by phone, or both
You do not need a reason and you will not be asked for one. Saying stop will never cost you the book โ it is yours, and it is free.
How to reach us
Email info@loveworldbooks.org and say what you would like us to do. Please write from the address you gave us, or tell us which one you used, so we can find you.
Readers of this book live in many countries, and several of them โ Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa and others โ give you the right to complain to a data protection authority if you are not satisfied with how we have answered you. You are entitled to do that, and we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
In short: we asked for four things so we could send you a book, say hello, and now and then tell you about new books, events and offers. We never sell or share your details with anyone, we do not track you, and one email stops all of it.
